Free Ultrasound

Once you have confirmed you are pregnant using a home test or one of our free pregnancy testing appointments, the next step is to explore your options. In order to do that, you need to determine the length of pregnancy. 

Presidential Women’s Center offers a free ultrasound, which is the most accurate method of measurement. Our pregnancy calculator can help you estimate using the first day your last menstrual period (LMP) until you are able to be seen for an ultrasound. Please note that our ultrasound machines are designed only for measuring length, they are not able to assess the health of the pregnancy.

An ultrasound at our clinic is required by Florida state law before we can provide an abortion. This is usually a part of your abortion consent appointment, but scheduling a free ultrasound allows those who are unsure to learn more about their options before scheduling a consent appointment. A free ultrasound appointment may also be helpful for those in need of financial assistance to cover the cost of an abortion. Financial assistance applications may be completed by phone or in-person during this appointment.

Effective May 1, 2024, Florida law allows abortions until only 6 weeks of pregnancy with few exceptions for rape, incest, human trafficking, health risk to the pregnant person and lethal fetal anomaly. We are available to answer questions about your eligibility.
