Abortion Pills in West Palm Beach

The Abortion Pill is available to women up to 6 weeks from their last menstrual period. It is a great option that can be used in the comfort of your own home. This is comparable to a miscarriage. Bleeding and cramping is normal. We prescribe a medication so that patients are comfortable during this miscarriage process. Our patients overwhelmingly tell us that it was a very positive experience that felt natural and comfortable. Our healthcare team is trained to ensure that you are well-prepared for the process and have the information that you need.

Patients often choose the abortion pill option because they feel it is a more natural process and appreciate that they are able to be in their own homes with family or friends (if they so choose). Use our pregnancy calculator to learn more about pregnancy dating and estimate your gestation.

Generous funding for your abortion is available to assist with the cost of the pill.

If you would like to begin a method of birth control, we would be happy to help you. There are several options available for you. We offer the Depo-Provera injection for a nominal fee (effective for three months). You also may request a prescription for birth control pills or the NuvaRing.

The Process

  1. Consent Visit
In accordance with the state of Florida guidelines, patients will have ultrasound, lab work and a meeting with a physician. The next visit cannot be scheduled any sooner than 24 hrs.
  2. Abortion Visit
The patient takes their first pill, Mifepristone, orally at our office following the 24 hour consultation visit. Nothing should occur until the next step.
  3. In Your Home
In the privacy of your own home, you will take pain management medication and administer four tablets of Misoprostol at a specified time. Within the next few hours, the patient will experience bleeding (light to heavy) and some cramping which is the miscarriage. Patients often choose to make arrangements for childcare and schedule the day off from work.
  4. Follow-Up
All patients should return to our Center for a follow-up visit within 7 days so that we can confirm that the process is complete.
